REGULATORY PERMIT FOR DOMESTICATED ANIMALS:
1. Duchesne City will grant a regulatory permit for domesticated animals used in 4-H and FFA.
1. This will be a seasonal permit that will be given to each qualified applicant that has proof of registration in 4-H or FFA. Participant must be 8-18 years of age.
2. Participant will be responsible for only 1 animal each, which will be kept at the address of the applicant.
3. Must acquire a permit which will be valid May1st until 1 week after the fair. Permit will be seasonal only and must be used for the year it is granted.
2. Grounds and dwellings of domesticated animals:
1. Must be in a fenced area that will keep them from escaping. The property line fencing already in place cannot be used for animal enclosure. Enclosure must be at least 10 feet from adjoining property unless written permission is obtained from adjoining landowners.
2. Animals must be at least 100 feet from neighborhood family dwellings.
3. Feces and any other odorous material must be removed from animal area and kept clean so as not to violate the nuisance ordinance and cause undue offense to the neighbors. (Ord.4-2-6)
3. Permitted livestock will be swine, goats, sheep and poultry or any other animal that the council chooses to permit. Large livestock (horses and cows) will not be permitted.
4. Failure to comply with any of these regulations will cause forfeiture of regulatory permit by the City. Permit may be revoked resultant to a credible complaint by neighbor, if after investigation by City Council deems complaint to be valid and well grounded. (Ord. 18-2, 5-18-2018)
