FALSE ALARMS:
1. Any response to a reported fire wherein no actual fire exists and no suppression service has been rendered by the fire department shall be considered as a false alarm, and a fee set by resolution shall be sent to the owner of the property associated with such false alarm. (Ord. 19-2, 2-12-2019)

The city council shall serve as a board of appeals to consider any appeal of any person who has been billed for fire suppression services rendered by the fire department. Such appeal must be filed in the city office within ten (10) days after receipt of the original billing for services rendered. The decision of the city council shall be final. If the decision of the city council is against the owner of the property, the city council shall require the owner to make payment within the time frame as provided by this chapter. Notice of the decision of the city council shall be sent to the property owner within five (5) working days of the decision of the city council. (Ord. 88-2, 3-16-1988)
